Walkie Talkie HRL questions and answers.
Clear information about compatible devices, networks, private rooms, Android installation, audio routing and the HamRadioList-hosted service.
Does Walkie Talkie HRL work on Wi-Fi?
Yes. A usable Wi-Fi internet connection can carry push-to-talk audio. Mobile data can also be used when available.
Does it work on Android tablets?
Yes. Compatible Android phones and tablets can use the app when they have microphone, speaker and internet access.
Is an iPhone version available?
The current release is Android only. This site does not offer an iPhone or iPad version.
Do I need a ham radio licence?
No. Walkie Talkie HRL carries voice over the internet rather than amateur-radio frequencies.
How do private rooms work?
The owner shares a unique channel identifier and six-digit passcode. Invited participants enter those details in the app.
Is private-room audio encrypted?
Voice traffic is encrypted in transit, and access credentials limit room entry. Protect the code and passcode because no internet service can promise absolute security.
How many people can join?
Supported private plans may allow up to 100 participants. Current plan and billing details remain inside the HamRadioList-hosted service.
Can I use a Bluetooth headset?
Supported Bluetooth devices can be selected. The Android speaker is the primary output route.
Can the app remain ready in the background?
Background listening can work when Android permissions, notifications and power-management settings allow it.
What if the connection is weak?
Move to stronger Wi-Fi or mobile coverage, close heavy downloads, verify Android audio permissions and try again.
Where is the app hosted?
The APK, accounts, payments and live service remain hosted by HamRadioList. WalkieTalkieHRL.com is the official information website.
Where can I get support?
Use the CodeLuma support desk for product or account assistance.
