Walkie Talkie HRL privacy.

This policy explains the public website, account system, Android app, PWA, private rooms, payments, and service email used by Walkie Talkie HRL.

Information we process

When you create an account we process your permanent username, email address, one-way PIN hash, verification state, consent choices, rooms, memberships, purchases, and account activity. The service also processes security and diagnostics such as random installation identifiers, device/app version, network type, country-level location, channel presence, connection timing, and abuse-prevention events.

What we do not intentionally collect

The app does not need your contacts, text messages, IMEI, hardware serial number, exact GPS history, or readable PIN. Voice traffic is relayed to the selected room for communication and is not described as an administrative private-room recording service.

Email verification and lifecycle

New accounts must verify their email before activation. We may send a verification message, a reminder after about one day, and a final reminder after about three days. After four days an unverified account is marked expired and archived; the record is not automatically deleted. A new verification request can reactivate an eligible reservation.

Optional news and marketing

Optional Walkie Talkie HRL news is sent only when you make an affirmative choice to subscribe. Every marketing message includes an unsubscribe method. Unsubscribed addresses remain on a suppression record so they are not silently re-added. Essential account, purchase, security, and service notices are separate from optional marketing.

Service providers

Website and account functions are hosted through HamRadioList/Namecheap infrastructure. Email is delivered under the Walkie Talkie HRL identity through Elastic Email. Payment processing may use Square. CodeLuma provides development and support. Providers process only the information necessary for their contracted function and their own legal obligations.

Retention and security

We retain account, consent, transaction, room, moderation, and security records for service continuity, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal purposes. We use encrypted transport, access controls, password hashing, short-lived tokens, and administrative audit records. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from optional email using the link in a message. Account, access, correction, or deletion questions can be submitted through the CodeLuma support desk. Some records may need to be retained for legal, security, accounting, or suppression purposes.

Children and responsible use

A parent or legal guardian should supervise use by a child and decide whether the service is appropriate. Do not use Walkie Talkie HRL as a replacement for emergency calling or life-safety communication.
